12.15pm: Got to London after a nightmare journey on the train. But of a laugh got talking to someone else who was going from Rugby. On the way down passed through Bletchley.

12.30pm: Got to the hotel I was staying, a little bit of a dive in Euston but it did the job well.

12.45pm: Got to the Odeon Leicester Square, they still had Moulin Rouge pics up from its premiere and were busy trying to get Enigma ones up with great difficulty. They could not line them up right and Kate ended up being a bit lop-sided. They eventually finished it about 3pm

4.00pm: Met a load of autograph maniacs outside and got talking. They were giving me a load of info on trying to find out where to get the best ones and who they had. They were quite fun.

5.00pm: The barriers went up with Enigma posters on them. I managed to get right in front of the doors at the front of the barrier, after a lot of pushing that is.

6.00pm: People started arriving.

6.05pm: Announcement made that she wasn't going to turn up. Press went crazy ringing masses of people. Then there were rumours that Mick Jagger and Dougray weren't going to turn up either.

6.30pm: Jeremy Northam came first, he came over to the fans (after a lot of shouting) and signed a couple of pics.

6.35pm: Saffron turned up, she is so thin!! She went straight in and completely ignored the fans outside.

6.40pm: Dougray Scott turned up with his wife and without hesitation came over to the fans while having a bit of a barny with his wife as she wanted to go straight in while he said "They have been waiting to long for me just to go straight in, I'm staying here longer." He then went along the line of about 10 signing autographs. Anyway, the poster that was on the railings, I asked him to sign it for me and he asked me if I was going to "nick it", I said I was going to try. Anyway, I though sod it I'm only going to meet the guy once so I asked if I could give him a kiss, he willingly obliged and kissed me the French way - one on each cheek, God I could have died. He then said "You do realise my wife is behind me" to which I panicked and apologised and they all started laughing, God I was SO embarrassed.

6.40pm-6.50pm: Everyone else turned up, Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Sting, Ray Winstone, Craig Kelly, Jonathan Ross, Bill Wyman.

6.55pm: Hardest bit, you know I said earlier about the press going crazy that Kate wasn't there. Well I noticed this woman in front of me staring at me I recognised off the TV. Anyway, the next minute she came over to me and said: "Are you a fan of Kate Winslet?" I obviously said yes and she asked me if I would mind doing a LIVE reaction to the news on Channel 5 news. I did not have time to say yes, everyone around me was listening, as she did the lead-in to it to the reasons why she wasn't there then she said: "Many of her fans are here waiting for autographs from her and are very disappointed that she is not here and and I have got one with me, Karen how do you feel about Kate being able to come tonight??" (oh my God!!! went through my head) Then I said, "Obviously we are absolutely devastated that she is not here (but then I thought be positive, so I said) but we completely understand why she isn't here, she needs time and space and whatever happens we will always support her and she knows that." The interviewer looked, well surprised, and after she finished she said it was a "refreshing change" to hear something good about her. My mates rang me up from home to see if it was me and they said it sounded really good. I was dead chuffed. I later found out I was the only 'non-famous' person to be interviewed who stuck up for Kate, woo-hoo 1-0 to Kate me thinks.

7.55pm: Went in to see Enigma, was really good, she isn't in it enough for my liking but they do make a believable on screen couple. And some of the jokes are mad, example, Hester's boss comes over to Hester while she's cleaning her glasses and says: "You know what, you don't look half bad with your glasses off." To which she replies: "You know what, without them, neither do you." The audience laughed. When it ended we all left and that was the end, obviously everyone was wondering where she was but it did not ruin what was a fantastic night. And I have now found out that because of the publicity it has got it is going in near enough every cinema where I live when originally it was only going to be in one in Manchester. Though obviously it would have been better if she would have been there.
